Nyamira institute of science and technology (NIST College) is a private institution located in Nyamira County Hqs on Nyamira-Centre Rd. We are registered and licensed with ministry of Education under TVETA (TVETA/PRIVATE/TVC/0013/2015) to offer Artisan, Certificate and Diploma Programs in Kenya.
Why NIST was started?
Our students in need of Technical/Science related courses are forced to travel to far institutions or counties to access preferred careers. There was a gap in TVET programs in Nyamira County and its populous environs hence the need to start a college which could after such training to those students in places where they would easily access education.
